"If you were in a recent car accident, you may need chiropractic care or attention."

There were tens of thousands of car accidents in Arizona last year. Car accidents are a fact of life in today’s world. Many car accidents appear minor in damage but can leave people with a lifetime of problems.

Even if you are not currently in pain, there may be underlying and hidden damage to your spine and muscles. Whiplash and other car accident injuries may take weeks to start producing pain. Injuries to the neck, back, arms and legs can become progressively worse without proper treatment.

Back injuries are the most common type of work injury. Other common work injuries include: carpal tunnel syndrome, lower back pain, headaches, neck pain and shoulder pain. Many of these injuries are caused by repetitive stress (doing the same thing over and over again). These are work injuries even if work activity is only partially responsible.

For individuals hurt in a work accident on the job in Arizona, the law mandates that they may chose chiropractic care for their injuries. Work injuries in Arizona are covered 100% by workers compensation. Many times companies will try to direct their injured workers to specific doctors and although the company may suggest that you attend these doctors, they may not force you to do so. It's not uncommon for company doctors to be more concerned about the best interests of the company than those of the injured worker. They may offer less care than you really need.

You will never find that situation in our office. Our patients come first. Although we like to think of ourselves as being both company and patient friendly, we will never ignore or minimize your injuries at the insistence of the company. Additionally, we will communicate well with your employer and the Workman's Compensation Board, write reports and attend any hearings required.

If you have an old injury which has not responded to previous treatments or you have become dissatisfied with the care you have received, contact our office today. We are expert in the treatment of joint, muscular and spinal worker's compensation injuries. In addition to chiropractic care, we utilize various effective therapies and offer rehabilitation on site.

Dr. Ruiz has been treating injured workers in Arizona for over 20 years and knows how to help you manage your work injury.
